Saugerties

If there's a place in this world that Jimmy loves, it's none other than his good ole home town of Saugerties. Jimmy's family packed up and moved to Saugerties in 1976, when Jimmy was 2.True, he was born in Brookyln, but Jimmy can't deny his Saugy roots!!

Town Info

How Saugerties started:

"Let us give you a brief history of Saugerties going back to April 27, 1677, when New York's Governor Andros signed an agreement with the Esopus Indian Kaelcop, Chief of the Amorgarickakan Family, to purchase the land which is now Saugerties. The price was a blanket, a piece of cloth, a shirt, a loaf of bread, and some coarse fiber. Since then we have come a long way!!!" (Excerpt from the Saugerties Town Site)

Saugerties is a small town in Upstate New York, neighboring Catskill and can be accessed from R87. Saugerties gets extremely cold while the summer temperatures aren't bad at all. It's still a safe town that has close knit families. Jimmy's parents still reside there, and his grandfather was buried there in the spring of 2003. Jimmy made some really great friends there as well. Without the town to shape Jimmy, who knows who or what he would have become.

Here's a map of the town:

It was in the completion of 8th grade (and 9th for Gloria) that they were tired of being in a private world. They both agreed that they needed more than 7 friends, thus the Fallon parents allowed there children to enroll in public high school. Where did they go?

Saugerties High School

Washinton Avenue Ext
Saugerties, NY 12477

Here's some useless info on the school!

Jimmy's counselor may or may not have been Dr. Catalino

After-school detention is held in the junior high cafeteria from 2:15 to 3:00PM.

For the sake of student safety and protection of personal property, only students with a pass may enter school parking lots during the school day.

This is how to get to Elementary School to the High School (LOL)

St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery

Jimmy got in his first fight at St. Mary Of The Snow Cemetary, which he says is behind his house!! Clue, clue!! Just kidding, I have no idea which street he lived on, but here's where the Cemetary is at (which I believe his grandfather is buried, may he rest in peace! Thank you Grandfather Fallon for spawning the coolest family ever!)

As you can tell, it's impossible to figure out where Jimmy lives based on this map. There are a bunch of houses around the cemetery!!!! I have a friend that visited Saugerties, trying to find the street behind the cemetery, and said there were many more than what the map shows. Poop!

Excerpt from Spin Magazine:

Jimmy: The weirdest thing was that there was a cemetery right behind our fence, so I'd be staring at tombstones whenever I played. I actually got in my first fistfight there.

Spin: What was the fight over?

Jimmy: I think I gave a flower to some girl and I didn't know she was dating this guy. He was like, "Yo, I heard you gave my girl a flower!". We had to fight, but we couldn't decide when. Like, "How about Wednesday? Nah, I gotta work Wednesday". It took so long to schedule it that I had time to take a couple of karate lessons. Finally, the only time we could agree on was a few weeks later, at six in the morning on a Sunday. It was so early that only three kids from the neighborhood came by. But my parents were watching from the house through binoculars, and my mom was crying. You gotta fight, though."
